LEGACY MODEL BOOTCAMP · BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

Train like you mean business.

The complete story of Legacy Model BootCamp — who built it, why the industry needs it, how a model gets from her first message to graduation, and where the program goes next. WHEN — Fridays, 6:30–9:30 PM · WHERE — Ms. K’s Dance Academy, Brooklyn · SINCE — April 2026

CORY JEFFERSON — THE EYE BEHIND THE PROGRAM

01 · THE FOUNDER

Cory Jefferson is a professional graphic designer, photographer, and videographer from Brooklyn. He picked up photography and videography at 15, learning from a mentor at his church, after years as a fine-arts student — a gift passed down from his mother, Jeanette, a talented artist who said Cory had surpassed even her.

From 15 to 25 he shot and filmed events across Brooklyn's churches. In 2020 he went independent; in 2021 he funded and crewed his first editorial shoot — and it was published. He has since been published more than 100 times. In 2023 he founded Legacy J Studios, named in honor of his late mother.

Today he runs Legacy Model Management as CEO, seeing models not as content but as people to develop — the eye behind BootCamp's training.

02 · THE BEGINNING

IT STARTED WITH A CAMERA — AND MODELS WHO HAD NOWHERE TO TRAIN

Shooting editorials and castings, Cory kept meeting the same model: real ambition, real presence, and nowhere to learn the work. No school for the walk, the pose, the set, or the business — so he built the room he wished had existed.

APRIL 2026 — THE FIRST CLASS

BootCamp opens as a monthly class at 545 8th Ave, Manhattan. Fourteen paid seats at a $15 launch rate — models arrive curious, leave changed, and start telling others.

MAY – AUG 2026 — THE PROOF-OF-CONCEPT ERA

Monthly classes move to Ms. K's Dance Academy in Brooklyn; the price rises to $35 and holds. Thirty paid seats, $770 collected. Customers pay, return, and bring others. Two dark months — June and September — when the coach was unavailable are recorded honestly, not hidden.

OCTOBER 2, 2026 — THE WEEKLY ERA LAUNCHES

A free open house launches BootCamp as a weekly Friday class. Forty-six models sign up. The first fully closed paid class on October 9 takes $325 against $250 in costs and closes $75 ahead. Within the first weekly month: 5 paid members, 20 Legacy VIPs inducted, the first completed referral, October dues collected in full — $585 in, $0 outstanding — and the first Digitals Day delivered. This is a system, not a side project.

03 · PURPOSE & NEED

Talent gets you looked at. Training gets you booked.

Most aspiring models are never taught the mechanics: how to walk, how to pose, how to present for digitals, how to behave at a casting. Agencies expect all of it on day one — and offer none of it.

What's sold to fill that gap is too often the opposite of help: premium camps charging hundreds to thousands of dollars, vague promises, and contracts young models can't evaluate. The models with the most to gain — young, urban, tri-state talent, typically 18–26 — are the ones priced out or taken advantage of.

BootCamp's answer: the same caliber of training the industry charges thousands for — a named professional coach, a written curriculum, real deliverables, at a price built for the community it serves, with every price published. No gatekeeping. No ambush contracts.

What the market offers a new model today

Free social-media advice — fragmented, unverified, no feedback

One-off workshops — a day of tips, no progression, no deliverables

Premium camps — thousands of dollars, application gates, prices unpublished

Agency open calls — judged on skills nobody taught her

Doing nothing — the most common option of all

What BootCamp combines — nobody else in that set does all four

A named pro coach teaching a written curriculum, every week

Tangible deliverables: digitals, comp cards, casting access, a profile

Signed agency models training in the same room

A loyalty & referral system that treats attendees as members of a house

04 · PROOF OF CONCEPT

Small numbers. The ones that prove a model works.

Payment, conversion, retention, and word of mouth — all present at once, all from the same room. The pipeline is visible, not promised.

05 · Growth Engines

Engines, not platforms —
how the room fills

In October 2026 the main Instagram went unavailable for an extended stretch — and that same day the business still sold a class seat and ran an email campaign opened by 55% of recipients. The lesson: growth runs on channels the business owns. Social media is the amplifier, never the engine.

Engine 01 — Instagram & social discovery

Class footage, coach content, and flyers on @legacymodelmgmt create the first spark. Every interested reply is logged the same day and worked through a tracked pipeline — 78 open leads, 9 Hot at last count — with a set follow-up rhythm: day-of reply, midweek nudge, 48-hour check-in.

Engine 02 — Owned email & text lists

The consented customer database is emailed and texted on a weekly cycle — invitation, content push, day-before, final call. Personalized, paced, opt-outs honored across every system. No bought lists, ever.

Engine 03 — Models bring models

Every attendee becomes a Legacy VIP with a personal referral code; a friend gets $10 off, the referrer banks $10 credit. A punch card — 5 paid classes earns the 6th free — plus tiers (Legacy → Elite → Icon) give every model a reason to return and bring someone with her.

Engine 04 — Partnerships

The venue relationship at Ms. K's Dance Academy, the coach's own audience, local colleges, and — in motion now — NYC boutique agencies, approached as partners: BootCamp is the development room, the agency keeps placement. We train them; they come back to you better.

Engine 05 — Content library

Every class is filmed under a standing capture checklist — walk progression pair, on-camera quote, coach teaching moment — building a Proof Bank that feeds a four-week content calendar. Proof is a by-product of delivery, not a separate project.

Discipline — Tri-state only

Prospecting is limited to NY / NJ / CT — a model who can't attend a weekly Brooklyn class can't become a member. Location is checked before first contact; out-of-area interest gets one warm close, never a pitch. Adults 18+ only.

06 · Onboarding

From “I'm interested”
to on the roster

No lead is dropped silently, and no model walks in unprepared. Onboarding is a documented pipeline — every paid signup receives the same five things, in the same order.

STEP 1 — She chooses her way in

$35 for a single Friday class — or membership: $75 the first month, then $99/month. A $35 class credit is in full toward membership if she joins within 7 days, so the first class is never a sunk cost.

STEP 2 — Intake & paperwork

She completes the enrollment intake (experience level, representation status, contact details, 18+ consent), signs the Training Participation waiver and the Model Agreement for her type. Photo/video consent is a separate, optional choice — declining never affects her place in class.

STEP 3 — Confirmation — details, not links

A personal confirmation from Cory: class date, 6:30–9:30 sharp, the address, the corner-entrance note, and the dress code — all-black fitted casting attire + runway heels. Venue details go out only after signup.

STEP 4 — Roster placement & welcome

She's placed on the Friday roster, gets a welcome text, and joins the models' group. She's carried onto every Friday roster automatically — she's never asked to re-book a class she's already covered for.

STEP 5 — VIP from night one

Check in at her first class and she's a Legacy VIP: personal referral code and QR pass issued and verified live, punch card started, first list in. The system introduces her as a member of the house — not a ticket buyer.

THE GATE — Paid means in

A submitted form without payment cannot check in. Scarcity language stays honest because capacity is real — 20 models maximum per class.

08 · The Coach

Coach Mally —
the face of the program

Mally is a professional runway coach and working model, founder of Mally's Model Academy. Her curriculum — written by her, for this program — takes a model from her first walk to a complete foundation, and since April 2026, Cory and Mally have trained models who arrive curious and leave changed.
